A Look At The Cotton-Padded Swing Chair

Remember how comfortable your old bubble chair was? Although you rarely see one today, for awhile they were pretty popular both outdoors and in.

I got much more than I expected with this swing chair. It's ideal for my granddaughter, who just went through hip surgery and is in a spica cast that extends from just beneath her ribs to her ankles. With this cast on, it's impossible for her to "sit" without an arrangement of pillows and other props to position her upright. The swing chair is perfect because it molds to her shape. Not only that, she loves to feel the swinging motion! It gives her the chance to swing and twirl, or just sit. This particular model of swing chair is especially durable and finely crafted.

Within 15 minutes after receiving this chair, I had it assembled. I have found it to be exceptionally sturdy, and I don't worry when I sit in it. I did tip over once, when I turned around to see something and over I went - all because the chair wasn't situated on a completely flat surface. But no harm done; it isn't difficult to put the chair back into position, since it sits quite low to the ground. I should mention that one piece was missing from the package, the cover/insert that is used on a top post. Overall, I am quite satisfied with this chair.

It's very comfortable and has no trouble holding my 220 pounds! Many of the guests who came to a recent cookout sat in the chair. It has withstood the rain, but I must say that the mist from the wind has left it somewhat damp. And now mold is growing on the chair fabric! It comes with the guarantee that is can be used outdoors, so you'd think the material would be mold-resistant. However, it's still a good deal for the price. That said, you should still bring it in the house when the weather is bad! I'm going to use a 50/50 mixture of light bleach and water to spray on the mold, hoping to kill it all.
