Have You Checked Out The Egg Chair Yet?Also known as XCHAIR Universal Hammock Chair Stand You can get the powder coated, 7-piece sectional steel frame together in seconds without needing any tools. It has a 300lb (136kg) weight capacity. It can accept just about any hammock chair that's on the market as all the frames come packed with adjustable connectors for adaptability. The majority of the more popular hammock chairs have a removable central spreader-bar, and it's already compatible with the Air/Sky/Hamaka chairs. The conversion guidelines for hammock chairs and systems provide the necessary information on adapting your "single-point" chair easily to our "dual-point" hammock chair system. You'll find our dual-point system to be twice as safe. Our dual-point stands have been optimized for both space economy and mobility. In addition, XCHAIR is a complete system capable of being upgraded to complete the HAMX2GO trailer hitch hammock stand for 2 of the hammock chairs.
We recently purchased the frame to be able to hang a Jumbo hammock on. The Jumbo will fit beautifully, but without any hardware it's not possible for the assembled stand to be centered with the hammock when it's placed on a level (concrete) area, and this is definitely obvious when you hang the hammock. One of the arms seems to extend at a weird angle on one side when it's suppose to be 10 degrees inward, but it won't shift because of the valley the top steel arm is to slide on. When I'm sitting in it the center of my body is over one of the legs instead of being in between the two arms and legs. Once we are able to correct it and get the one side straightened to the center, we'll try try to drill a couple holes in it and get it bolted. If I stay still, I can sit in it, but it will tip over if there's any shifting. If a friend asked me for my opinion on this I would most likely advise going with the square hammock frames instead. It's seems obvious with the square ones that the center of gravity is not to either side, but rather more in the middle. Even though I had figured this would be a good design, I'll most likely go and get the square frame so there's no concerns about it tipping over if the bolts don't hold. |
